This year Air Mauritius will celebrate its 40 years of flying. In August 1972 started its [flying] service with a 6-seater Piper PA-31 Navajo linking Mauritius and Rodrigues. Before that the company founded in June 1967 was engaged in ground services only. A 75cs stamp was issued to commemorate the inaugural flight.
